Real Women Follow God

The world has its own standards with regards to women.
What does it take for a girl to be beautiful?
The world would say:
"She has to be skinny. Sexy would be better, but skinny is the norm."
"Long hair with big, brown eyes."
"Pink cheeks and red lips. Incredible!"
"Must be at least five foot seven."
Nowadays, girls are becoming more and more concerned with the way the look. Of course, with the world and its standards, it's hard to blame them for wanting to be considered as beautiful. In order to become one of the It-Girls, young women have to comply with these standards. They visit beauty salons more often, go into crash diets, buy loads of make-up and all that.
Girls, it's time to break free from the world's opinion on how we should be. We should learn about what GOD thinks a real woman is. After all, the view of the One who made the world matters most.
If the world thinks that a real woman should be physically beautiful, God thinks otherwise. For Him, a real woman is someone who is after His own heart and listens to His voice.
“If you love me, you will keep my commandments."
John 14:15
Real women submit to the Word of God. Not because they're forced to but because they love God. Their love for Him motivates them to follow what He says. One of His commandments for women who are married is to submit to their husbands. Instead of being proud and daring the role of men, a real woman lowers her pride, accepts her responsibility and submits.
Physical beauty isn't everything. Sadly, there are a number of physically attractive girls out there who are undeniably ugly on the inside. They are bratty, demanding and think that the world is in their hands. God does not judge beauty based on the outside, but on the inside.
Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
Proverbs 31:30
Here are three qualities that define REAL women:
1. Real women are PASSIONATE for GOD.
Real women know their priorities. For certain, looking good is not on top of their list. GOD is their number one priority.
A woman should be after the heart of her Father. She should be passionate about Him because she recognizes the fact that He is passionate for her too. As stated above, a woman who loves God submits to what He says. Men, when the time is right and should you look for a girl you want to be with, do not only consider the way she looks. Rather, look at her heart and see if it's dedicated to God.
Why?
Because for sure, if she loves God and obeys His way, she will follow His word and submit. She will be a wife who loves you the way the Lord intended her to.
2. Real women posses a GENTLE and QUIET SPIRIT
Nowadays, women are strong-willed, sometimes up to the point that some of them are becoming too proud or even dominating. There's nothing wrong with being independent but too much of the Girl Power attitude is enough. It's evident in some magazine articles and even songs: Who run the world? GIRLS!
3 Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes. 4 You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God. 5 This is how the holy women of old made themselves beautiful. They trusted God and accepted the authority of their husbands.
1 Peter 3:3-5
Notice that Peter mentions the words gentle and quiet spirit. Does that mean that real women should always be mahinhin, giggling quietly instead of bursting out in loud laughter whenever they hear a funny joke?
Here's what he meant.
Gentle and quiet spirit here meant that women should have wide temperaments and inner peace. Instead of becoming easily impatient, nagging others tortuously, real women know how to keep their cool. They can remain calm in situations and chill. Rather than always be suspicious, they trust God with His judgement. They also possess the peace in accepting the roles God meant for them to play. Rather than let their pride get the best of them, they submit.
Did you know that most extramarital affairs root out from wives who do not submit to their husbands? Because their husbands lack the attention they crave from their wives, they instead look for it in the arms of other women. These unsubmissive wives cause their husbands to search for love in someone else because they allow their pride to overrule their relationships.
3. Real women are DILIGENT and RESPONSIBLE.
When she speaks, her words are wise
and she gives instructions with kindness
She carefully watches everything in her household
and suffers nothing from laziness
Proverbs 30:26-27
Women are made to care. We have this talent to manage the mess in our homes. As early as now, partake with the daily chores in the house such as cooking, cleaning, etc. Being a manager of the home should not be demeaning, rather, it should be something we can be proud of because it shows how skillful we are. These trades will come in handy when we get married and we can serve our husbands and children with love. A real woman does not let laziness win over her. She fights it and does what she has to do. She is responsible and knows her top priorities.
Girls, listen up. When the world tells you that you have to do this and that to be pretty, pause for a moment and think if it's worthwhile. Remember, there's Someone else who believes that you're pretty even if the world says you're not. Physical beauty fades eventually but beauty from the Lord will not.
You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God.
1 Peter 3:4
Guys, look for a girl who is not only concerned with the way she looks, but for someone who is passionate for God because it is an assurance that she will love you according to His word.
Real women follow their God. They know that His view matters most. As early as now, train yourself to be a girl who is after godliness. Because when you're trained for such, you'll be the kind of woman whose ' children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her: “There are many virtuous and capable women in the world,but you surpass them all!” (Proverbs 31:29-29)
Real women...they are women after God's own heart.
